PoSSUM Space Academy, at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, offers a one-week course in immersive science education for tomorrow’s astronautics professionals. This includes mission simulation, spacesuit training, high-G and microgravity flight in an aerobatic aircraft, and more.

Rebecca Blum attended PoSSUM Space Academy, and tells about her experiences there. Rebecca has recently graduated from Cranbrook Kingswood High School, and will be attending Brown University.

She has been looking through her grandfather Jon’s telescope since she was three years old, and has wanted to be an astronaut for almost that long. Her previous W.A.S. presentations were about Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, and the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida.
