Star-Hopping with Stellarium – Adrian Bradley

September 25, 2020 @ 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Stellarium is a free open-source planetarium app that many astronomers use frequently. Stellarium allows you to see the sky from any point on Earth and any time of day. You can use it to see what will be in the sky tonight, or next month, and plan observing sessions. Stellarium can add newly discovered objects, like comets, from an IAU Minor Planet Center online catalog, and can add multi-megabyte-sized catalogs of additional stars. Stellarium has numerous plugins that add additional features and functionality, and has a large user community.
